I paced the Beaver Canyon Marathon today. This is the first year of the race and there were 270 people. The course is beautiful. This is definitely Beaver's kept secret. The road coming down from Eagle Point Resort is very deep between the mountain sides. The course had an overall drop of almost 4800 feet too, which I have never come even close to before. Writing this two nights later, my legs are still completely chewed up. I may go through this entire week without attempting to run. I missed my pace time by 24 seconds unfortunately.

Yeah, the course is definitely worth seeing though. The pacing group I volunteered with is pretty relaxed. I don't think it's going to be an issue with them.

I went on a light scrub of my online presence. I tried to make some of my personal details a little more difficult to find for strangers. Hence the "Derneld". It actually was a funny way my wife used to say my name when we were dating.
